Title:   Precision Transconductance Amplifier
Abstract:   A deceptively simple opamp circuit either sources or sinks a current to ground, depending on the polarity of the input voltage. It can be configured in either inverting or non-inverting mode. Different component values allow it to source or sink current up to the opamp's built-in limit. The values in the example have been chosen to provide a good tradeoff between maximum current and accuracy.

For accuracy it requires closely matched resistors. Adding the MBD-472-AS removes the need for matched resistors and improves the accuracy of the circuit.
